SANKT BIRGITTA SCHOOL LIBRARY, DENMARK

Due to lack of space Sankt Birgitta school bought a fine patrician villa opposite the school. The villa was rebuilt so it now houses the school library and music facilities. Sankt Birgitta school presented requirements and needs, eg. the users are children and they should have full access to most of the books.

THE SOLUTION
The library consists of 4 rooms of different size and dimensions. Two of the rooms have been equipped with low shelving with book cribs and suspension cribs for the children to be able to turn over the pages of the books. The two other rooms are equipped with higher shelving in connection with display shelving for both storage and display of magazines / books.
